Preparation

Preheat oven to 180°C or gas Mark 4 (adjust accordingly for fan assisted ovens). Place on oven tray. Reheat for approximately 20-25 minutes. Always ensure food is piping hot before serving.

    Living in southern England, Scotch pies and other Scots delicacies are in short supply. I fell in love with Scotch pies and Lorne sausage in a floury roll as a kid when I visited my Gran in Dunfermline. She was a Dundee lass so it seems fitting to find the best pies I’ve tasted for a while come from Scott Brothers.

    My first order has just arrived, dead on time and in perfect condition. Absolutely thrilled!!! Had 2 scotch pies straight out of the box, warmed for 2 minutes in microwave as I always do. Almost crying with pleasure, I have Covid and I can actually taste it. Thank you!!! Now I have to find space in my freezer for the rest of them, but rest assured they will be greatly enjoyed. I’m feeling much better already!! Be back for more as soon as. I wish you all the greetings of the season. Yours Aye.

    Tried them at the recommended temperature and times – but found today that (fan oven) I got splendid results with 200C and 35mins.
    Excxellent pies.

    I have to say, I’m very impressed! And I haven’t even tasted the pies yet! I ordered 4x Scotch Pies, 4x Macaroni Cheese Pies and 2x Beef Olives. The delivery date was given and the goods arrived on time and perfectly packaged. I am sure the pies will taste as good as they look, I’ll lt you know! So far, I’m a fan……. lunch to follow; pie and beans!

    Used to eat these Scotch pies after marrying my Scottish wife 48 years ago at my Mother in laws in Bellshill and these are just as good: forget supermarkets: buy from the Scots butchers that know: and I am English.

    I like a Scotch Pie. We used to regularly travel from our then home in Hertfordshire up to Firhill to watch the Jags and we always enjoyed our halftime treat. Yes, English people enjoy them too.
    Years have passed and coronavirus got me searching the internet for alternative food deliveries…. Came across Scott Brothers Butchers in Dundee who deliver…great i thought, then i ate these Scotch Pies and now i am in love. These are soooo good.
    Thankfully they deliver to other parts of the UK so i can enjoy these in Northants. Great delivery too. Very well done all at Scott Brothers.

    Generally great but can be a bit hit and miss with the odd one being too spicy. Still far superior to anything you can get in a supermarket here in England.
